Everyone plans the practical stuff. The visa. The flights. The school applications. The shipping container. What almost nobody plans (and what almost everyone finds hardest) is the social side.
Moving internationally means leaving behind the friendships you've spent years building. The neighbors who have a spare key. The friends who know your whole story. The family down the road. You can replace a lot of things when you move country. You cannot replace that overnight, and pretending otherwise doesn't help anyone. We know this because we've lived it. When we moved from England, the practical stuff was manageable. It was the quieter moments, the weekends when you don't quite know anyone yet and that took longer to navigate. Which is why, from the very beginning, helping families build a genuine social life in Charlotte has been just as central to what we do as any of the practical advice.
When we think about the families we've worked with over the years, the ones who have thrived in Charlotte are the ones who found their people! A city becomes home when you have somewhere to be on a Saturday afternoon. When your children have friends they're excited to see. When you have someone to call when something goes wrong, or someone to celebrate with when something goes right. That's what we're trying to help you find.
We have minimal fees because we have never wanted you as a customer. We want to welcome you to Charlotte, properly, warmly, and for the long term.
