How We Work

Step 1: Let's Talk

Everything starts with a chat. Before any commitment on either side, we'll get on a call to hear about your situation, your family, and what you're hoping for from your move to Charlotte. This conversation is completely free, and it can happen while you're still in Europe, months before your move date.

We'll ask you the big question we ask everyone: what's your thing? From your answers, we'll get a sense of how we can help and whether we're the right fit for each other.

Step 2: We Agree on What You Need

Not every family needs the same thing. Some arrive wanting a full orientation: neighborhoods, schools, social groups, the works. Others have specific questions and just need a few hours of focused guidance. After our initial conversation, we'll put together a clear list of what we'll cover, agree on deliverables, and make sure you know exactly what to expect.

Step 3: We Get to Work

Once we're agreed, we get on with it. That might mean a day out exploring the neighborhoods that best fit your family. It might mean walking you through the school system and helping you understand your options. It might mean connecting you with the right people, the right clubs, and the right communities to help Charlotte start feeling like home as quickly as possible.

Our Fees

Our fees are a one-off, flat charge, typically in the region of $500–$1,000 depending on the level of support you need. There are no ongoing costs, no monthly subscriptions, and no surprise additions. You pay once, and our support continues for as long as you need it through your settling-in period.

We believe the value of arriving in a new country with someone genuinely in your corner (someone who has already made every mistake and learnt every lesson) can really help you in the transition, we remember what it felt like to land somewhere new and figure it all out alone!

A Note on Language

We work primarily in English, but Charlotte is home to a wonderfully international community. If English is still something you're developing, we'll partner with another Charlotte expat who shares your mother tongue — someone who can support us both with translation and help bridge any cultural gaps along the way.
